![]() The front hand guard has been neatly inletted for a square steel target block and its top surface milled to accommodate scope clearance, the finish on the milled area matches precisely that of the balance of the hand guard, and indeed the rest of the stock, clearly done during the period of use. Stock has an older oil finish, is properly de-void of any inspectors markings on the left side and has crisp circled "P" firing proof. ![]() The 1903A1 stock rates about excellent showing the expected sparsely scattered very light handling marks. The metal surfaces retain about 97% arsenal dark gray-green parkerizng with the “NS” marked bolt and extractor remaining mostly bright. Serial #1515513, 30-06, 24" 5-38 dated Springfield Armory star gauged barrel with a bright excellent bore.
